Organic Search Engine Results…or…Look, The Web Copy Specialist Is On “The Left”

Which comes first? Your great idea? Or other people looking for your great idea?

If you answered your great idea, sit down and listen to Timmy in the first row who
said “ooh…ooh…I know…it’s other people looking for your great idea. Right?”

Yes, Timmy. If no one else is looking for that whatcha-ma-call-it you decided to build
and sell…how good an idea can it really be. Oh sure, it could be an idea ahead of
its time. Or it could be an idea that just needs good explanation, then everyone will
want it. But for the most part, if there’s no one looking for your “widget”, then don’t
waste your time building that widget.

Internet marketing is about finding what searchers are looking for, creating that product,
and selling it to them. If you goof up the process, you could be on a long, dusty road.

I call myself the web copy specialist because I know more than just copywriting. I also know
about researching possible niches. And keyword and keyphrase analysis. And optimizing
your site to be found in the organic search engine results.

Hire me, and I’ll show you how we can create more than mere black words on a white page.

Click on the Permission Marketing tab at the top of this page to hear another way to talk about your products and services.

In the coming months and years these techniques will be required in order to rank. Start now.

The Web Copy Specialist Talks About Why Multitasking Is Impossible

OK…to all you multitaskers out there…I’m sure you’re ready to click away. And if you already have, it sort of proves my point. Multitasking isn’t effective. Focus is.

In fact, I dare say it’s impossible to actually “multitask”. A woman can’t keep her eyes on the road and apply eyeliner at the same time. One or the other is going to suffer. A man can’t mow the lawn and watch the big game at the same time. (so ladies…please let him mow the lawn before or after the game…your lawn will thank you)

My point is…when it comes to real, productive, work getting done…you gotta be linear. And with your goals in mind.

Keep in mind; I’m not saying you can’t do more than one thing at a time. I’m saying you can’t accomplish more than one objective at a time. If your sales manager tells you to get 25 calls completed by lunch, you won’t be effective to talk to potential clients on one phone and chat with your friends on your cell phone.

A runner wins the race by putting one foot in front of the other…faster than the other runners…but both feet don’t move forward at the same time. And the runner thinks about the finish line…the goal…and gets a mental picture of standing there as the winner. The runner who concentrates on anything but the race is almost invariably not the winner.

When I have more than one project for more than one client, I find I can’t get the quality I want for them when I think about all of them at the same time. So I prioritize and work from the top down. Each of the tasks get done, and my brain stays much clearer.

So, my recommendation is (and I’m just a simple web copy specialist…what do I know?)…focus. Remember a laser beam focuses on one area and cuts through thick steel…while a shotgun spreads out and only makes dents in that same steel.

Don’t just make dents…cut on through…Focus.
