Get This While You Can

In marketing, whether it’s online or off, they say one of the best techniques for selling is the tried-and-true “limited time only” offer.

I’d have to agree. If you think this “deal” you’re looking over might not be around tomorrow, you’re much more likely to buy it today. Or if you think the price may go up after today, you might just buy today.

The “Limited Time Only” offer applies to you, too

You’re a little bit like real estate. There’s a very limited supply of you. And you’re only offered for a very short time. On average…a man’s offer may only be into his middle to late seventies, and a woman into her eighties. So how do you position yourself…knowing that your supply AND time are limited? My suggestion is position yourself for the NOW.

Now is the time you live and breathe in…work in…thrive or dive in.

Now is the time you can give of yourself…not just exist.

Now is the time you can jump for joy or fall for lies.

You Won’t Be Around Here Forever

If you concern yourself with conserving resources like water, air, and food, shouldn’t you be even more concerned with your mortality? Market yourself as the valuable commodity you are. Use all the tools at your disposal to create the USP that is uniquely YOU. Then state it with authority, boldness, and courage. Know which part of you is the real person and which is the shadow…and never walk in your own shadow.

Now…go make it a great day, and thank God for life.

There’s no good reason why direct response, direct marketing, and creative can’t all be great pieces of the same successful pie. Well…maybe one reason is a bias for or against one of these areas. Other than that; it’s a beautiful thing to see companies who “get it” with their marketing…especially online.

I’m always curious why a business doesn’t see the benefit and/or potential of reaching a consumer through the “ear-gate” and the “eye-gate”. Not just one or the other. For example…some of the most memorable ads of the 20th century were jingles. Little tunes that stuck in your head, and the words were easy to remember, too. Talk about building a brand.

The following Podcasts include an interview about this very subject. Click on the one that says:

“DMNews’ executive editor Sharon Goldman chats with G2 creative director Holly Pavlika about the role of creative in DM; the challenges of developing creative based on driving ROI; and how DM is changing.”

Be a winner. As long as you have a choice, why not make it a “winning” choice. I guarantee this one fact…

You will absolutely achieve what you focus on. If you get somewhere unexpected, look back and retrace your steps. You’ll see where your focus was and then you’ll know how you got there. Here’s the thing; don’t settle for mediocre. Get the mindset of a winner. Start your mind in a winning direction, and the body will follow.

Check out this video of Seth Godin, a huge marketing success, and his story of getting beyond mediocrity.

You know what? You should think seriously about becoming debt-free. I’m working on it with short term, medium term, and long term goals in mind. Not having tons of debt will make it easier to invest in your business. You’d be amazed at all the places you may be losing money…when you really should be paying yourself and achieving your goals of financial freedom.

Just for fun; check out this VIDEO

If you think you’d like to drive “free cars”, you’ll want to see this. I love the slogan: “drive free…retire rich”.

When you’re serious about investing in your business, your website, your copywriting, and your marketing, it’s “little tips” like this one that’ll give you so much more income to work with. Don’t be “normal” when it comes to money and business.

And when you need someone on your marketing team who really and truly wants you to “retire rich”, I hope you’ll think of Tony Writes.

Focus And Achieve,

It’s 10:55 p.m. and I wanted to take the time to post my first installment on the new Tony Writes website. It’s my blogsite, too, and I’m working things out in the design.

This gave me a great idea (even though it’s late at night for me) to pass along to anyone interested in changing the format of your website. I highly recommend going with the Wordpress format and being prepared for the design issues. Don’t worry about it much. Main thing is…get it going so you’re “alive and kicking” on the ever-changing internet.

I’ve gone through the metamorphosis a couple of times, now, with my business website. But I can tell you this is the one that’s going to last. At least for a longer time than static web pages. The blogging format will give you much needed access to your target market, and you’ll have a dynamic way of keeping in touch.

As I get my site going I plan to install some great interactive “tools” so my clients and visitors will be completely up-to-date with what’s going on. In the coming days you’ll see what I mean.

In the meantime…if you need compelling copy + internet marketing (or offline), check out my “who’s Tony” page to learn more about my service. You can get much more from your business when you work with people who actually care and really do want you to succeed. I’m one of those people. But don’t just take my word for it…make me prove it.

Let’s get busy,
