Professional Writer = Skilled Storyteller
Psst…let me tell you a secret…
If you really wanna have a successful business,
If you really wanna successfully advertise a new product or service,
If you really wanna make a splash in the new social media marketing…
You don’t need a professional writer.
At least…if you’re a skilled storyteller, you don’t. When you get right down to it, everyone has a story. The problem is…not everyone is a skilled or gifted or decent storyteller. Not everyone can outline an overview, set up the plot, and create likable characters. Storytelling is like any other skill or profession…if you haven’t worked on it for a long time, it might not be your thing. And that’s OK. Building airplanes isn’t my thing. Landscaping, chemical engineering, heart surgery, dental implants, etc. etc. etc…they’re not me either.
But I could talk to someone about those other things and find a story to tell. And stories sell. If they don’t, why are so many people buying iPads, Kindles, and Nooks?
And what are people sharing on Facebook, Twitter, and Google +?
Yep…stories.
