A Web Copy Specialist Still Needs To Persist, Too
Even though I know a lot about how to create a nice WordPress blog, create results-getting content, and get great search engine results I still have to endure internet or hosting glitches. And I’ve just spent over a week maintaining persistence.
After my upgrade to WordPress 2.8 my “visual editor” was just gone. Yep, it didn’t exist in my admin section anymore. And if I tried to paste html code in that section, then the visual section would show the code tags. Yikes! I sent support tickets to WordPress, but they’re really busy so I didn’t get a reply…not yet.
Then, it hit me. My WordPress blog is actually hosted with a company who has an extremely handy “one-click install” feature for WordPress. I logged in there and decided to take a chance on re-installing the WP 2.8 upgrade. I just finished that a few minutes ago, and Voila! I’m using my visual editor and all the wonderful, easy WYSIWYG features again. Aahh…like a breath of fresh air. It was frustrating to have no writing access to post my daily info, but I kept at it and found a solution.
Here’s my take on life in general: Life is a problem…or series of problems. That won’t change until you assume room temperature. So the key is this…don’t focus on problems. Focus on solutions. And do it every time a problem arises. You may as well start from that perspective because you’ll be in control of your thought process. If you focus on the problem, you’ll eventually have to focus on the solution, but only because you’re forced to. Not because you took control from the beginning.
Now…get back to work and conquer your problems with some creative solutions.
Stay tuned,
P.S. If you’d like to hire a web copy specialist who’s truly interested in your ongoing success, I may be just the guy.
