Why is niche marketing and internet marketing, in general, so alluring?
Simple answer…money.
Not-so-simple answer…freedom.
Now…does money equal freedom? Yes. And no. If you consider money as “one of the three main power sources”, then yes; it equals freedom. Because the more money you have, the more options you have in life. You have the freedom to afford organic food as opposed to genetically modified fruits, vegetables, and meats.
With more money you can choose to go on a vacation somewhere other than your back yard inflatable pool. And you can stay in hotels rather than camp out in the back of your pickup. Yes…options are good. And money gives you options and freedom.
However; with more money comes more responsibility. And if you don’t spend (and save) it wisely, you can end up tied down to things like:
- A house that looked really great when you were in a buying frenzy
- That SUV you just “had to have” and now the gas is up 500%
- Or those amazing electronics that are obsolete 2 months after you buy ‘em
And you may just find you have more “friends” when you enter the higher tax brackets. You’ll have to use some insight and discernment when it comes to knowing who your real friends are…and who are the ones who just want to be near your “resources”. Where’s the freedom in that?
OK…so what am I saying exactly? That money’s not a nice thing to have because it leaves you dazed and confused as to whether or not you have more freedom? Hardly! I’ve been on both ends of the money spectrum…well-off…and broke. If I have to choose one, it’s gonna be well-off every single time. And if I have to choose between rich and handsome, give me dough.
And this ties into niche marketing because when you “pitch to your niche”, you can build wealth. Even if your niche is small. The main thing is…don’t be a “pitch man” (or woman). Use creative copy in your “pitch” to show a sincere desire to provide a solution or a product your “peeps” need, want, and desire.
If they get the feeling you’re only in it for the money…pretty soon…there won’t be any.
Stay tuned,
